DaytailPrivacy policy
Daytail is designed to work locally. You can use its planning features without creating an account. This policy explains what happens when you optionally enable cloud sync.
Information Daytail stores
- On your device: semesters, courses, assignments, exams, grades, timetable entries, notes, preferences, and reminder schedules.
- With optional sync: the same planner records and selected preferences, together with your Supabase user identifier and email address.
- If you choose Google sign-in, Google and Supabase process the authentication information needed to sign you in.
How information is used
Your information is used only to provide Daytail features, synchronize your devices, authenticate your account, restore your plan, and respond to support or privacy requests. Daytail does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or include behavioral analytics.
Notifications and backups
Reminder calculations occur on your device. Notification content is delivered by Android. Exported backup files are saved only to the destination you choose. Android device backup may copy the app database to your Google backup account according to your device settings.
Storage and security
Local data is held in Android app-private storage. Optional cloud data is stored in Supabase and protected by row-level policies that restrict records to the signed-in user. Internet traffic uses HTTPS. No service-role or administrative key is included in the app.
Retention and deletion
Local information remains until you delete it, clear Daytail’s storage, or uninstall the app and remove any operating-system backup. Synced information remains until you delete the relevant records or delete your Daytail account. Account deletion removes the cloud account and its associated Daytail records.
Your choices
You can use Daytail without sync, disable notifications, export your data, sign out, or permanently delete your account in Settings. You can also use the external deletion page.
Children
Daytail is a general education productivity tool and is not directed specifically to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise account use where local law requires it.
